Founder Denise Castronovo works closely with indigenous communities who are stewards of sacred ecosystems and heirloom cacao. These include the Arhuaco peoples of Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the Mishky women and the Awajun women of Peru, whose work with native cacao supports both biodiversity and women-led economic empowerment.
By sourcing Colombian cacao and Peruvian heirloom cacao directly and paying well above commodity rates, we support rainforest conservation, cultural preservation, and economic dignity. Every bar is a tribute to the people and places behind it.
