Introducing Castronovo's Signature Collection, we searched the globe for cocoa beans with extraordinary fine flavor to create our top-shelf Signature line of chocolate. Venezuela is known for the best cacao in the world, having many cacao varieties with high Criollo content. On the coast of Venezuela nestled high in the mountains there is a village founded by runaway slaves. The name of their village, Patanemo, is derived from "paz tenemos" which means, "we have peace." Two families farm cacao of the highest quality in the community. By adding a touch of milk and less sugar than our dark version of this bar, the flavors of walnut, coffee, caramel and nutmeg are brought out in this bar. This is a chocolate to savor sparingly and enjoy.
